BLACK LIVES
Are the root of a tree we call America:
Black Song, Black dance, Black food, Black language, Black body language, Black physique, Black beauty, Black confidence, Black humor, Black worship, Black intonation, Black cadence, Black style, Black pain, Black grief, Black magic: all planted on stolen land. But the spirit cannot be denied within the indigenous human being. The person, the body, they can be chained and bound, mutilated and enslaved; but the soul of the human being must fly and Black Lives have spiritual potency. AKA Concentrated Medicine. Everything that Black Lives have created until today has been created under severe oppression, ultimate pain and grief. These are a very certain kind of fuel for the Spirits of Human Indigeneity.

This Devine ability, to turn ones pains into ones pleasures, is the indigenous way of love. This is sexual healing - This Is ROCK N ROLL & Rock N Roll is Black. Black is indigeneity. AKA The Devil - (Abrahamic) Civilization’s greatest threat and biggest fear. The concept of civility and its relationship to “progress” as the defining aspect of our identity as a society; is one the most Indigephobic concepts of our time, informing every action (belief) made by the colonizer. Despite the harshest of physical, mental and emotional conditions, treatment, and inflictions, the Indigenous / Black spirit just cannot be erased, for it is one with nature, and she is persistent. Though it can be suppressed, buried deep within consciousness, almost forgotten - nature being a most fear-filled and dreadful prospect to those who have left their own behind a long time ago.

The human being must move, must voice. It must express joy, must maintain the sacred rhythm, not only despite immense oppression, and the brutality of enslavement but in direct response to it. This is an essential phase of grief (the sixth) for the Human Being, its indigenous spirit, one unrecognized by the colonizer. AKA Queer Expression. AKA Sacred Sexuality. AKA Divine movement. To respond (not react) to pain, not only with agony, but with joy as well. The very least of which is the the joy and appreciation for life that comes with being face to face with death itself, and living to speak of it. This is kink. This is indigeneity. The First Gender.

To not bundle up pain and suppress it way down as the enslaver does. But to joyfully whale in pain. This is alchemy. This is the power of change. To not deny the self it’s connection to nature through grief avoidance, as the colonizer has. But to transform the blues, only by going through it. AKA The Crossroads. To not deny yerself access to pleasure, let alone authentic pleasure, no matter how many times or in how many ways its removal is attempted by the enslaver. This is the reclamation of slur into slang, and why its magic is so desperately desired by others. Changed meaning completely and sewn new seeds. This is indigenous medicine, or “Magic” to the colonizer. What keeps the human being not just alive but living. What keeps the ancestors fed and the body nourished as mush as the soul. Reclamation of a space which cannot be owned in the first place.

If so much we express today as a country, a people, has arisen out of, been appropriated from and capitalized on: the strife, struggle, enslavement and oppression of Black Lives, then just imagine... Don’t just imagine as in imagine ONLY, but foresee with the mind, better yet with the heart: what can, what could, what WILL be. Imagine what will be when Black Lives are no longer burdened by seemingly endless violence, generational trauma and oppression. Imagine what purpose can come through the freedom of pursuit of authentic self pleasure.

Imagine what can be created under
Acceptance of black life.
Then Imagine what can be created under Respect for black life.
Then Imagine what can be created under
Support for black life.
Then Imagine what can be created under
Honor of black life.
Then Imagine what can be created under
REVERENCE for black life.

The imagination is a very powerful spiritual force that is certainly necessary under oppression and suffering. But imagination is limitless when one is free to be authentic. Free to be indigenous. Free to be Black. Free to be Trans. Free to be Queer. Free to be a a human being. Free to be happy. Free to be free.
